Lakeview Inn and Cabins began in 1926 when Ralph Horn built 5 automobile camps for tourists. Rooms in the farmhouse were also available for boarders. The property, on North Main Street, was the second of the seven original farms, laid out in the 18th century and settled in 1768. A small restaurant was added in 1929. The Horns were the owners until 1946. The property was gradually expanded to 25 cottages and a large dining room. A motel was added in 1965 and the cabins were gradually removed, with the last gone in 1980. The popular Lakeview Inn is now the Inn on Main. This card one shows the farmhouse, c. 1930's.
