As a major tourist center, the need for accommodations was always a necessity in Wolfeboro. Over time, the evolution of taverns, inns, boarding houses, cabins, hotels and motels formed a large part of our history. Many of the facilities provided more than just meals and lodging, and were considered resorts with organized activities. Note that the Allen "A" Resort was originally called a Camp, and is included under the Camp group of postcards.
