The Cotton Valley Community Church was a combined effort of the Freewill Baptists and the Methodists, who jointly built a Meeting House on Cotton Mountain Road near the Brookfield Town line in 1801. The Meeting House, on the south side of the road, was torn down and this church was built on the north side of the road in 1852. It is occasionally used today.
