This is the Carroll Piper house on North Main Street, used as a residence and insurance office. Hard to believe there was empty land just past the bridge. The house was only a few feet from the street. In 1956-57, the entire house was lifted and moved back about 100 feet to its present location on the lake behind today's Yum Yum Shop. At the time, a Gulf Gas Station was built there, and existed until 1977. Card dates to early 1900's.
