View from near the Durgin Building on North Main St. looking toward Town Hall. The sign refers to Horne's Garage, which opened as a Ford Dealer, sales and service, in 1909. The office was in the Durgin Building. Down the street on the right is the tall Avery Building and Post Office Square (see card 24 for a description). On the left, the building by the pole is the Paper Store, later known as the Wool Corner. C. 1910. The pencil mark of 5 cents in the stamp box may have been the price of the card; 5 cents inflates to about $1.50 today.
