Tornado, hurricane, high winds, hailstorms, floods, forest fires. All these have hit Wolfeboro at various times, with the Great Hurricane of 1938 doing the worst damage; an extensive impact writeup is in Bowers' History of Wolfeboro, Vol. I, page 257. Earthquakes, usually mild, ice storms and microbursts also occur.
The Wolfeboro Historical Society welcomes the donation of local photographs from the early days, as well as any details that may be found in ancestors attics.
