This view of the 1856 Bank Building dates to c. 1870. On the second floor is the Brackett & Thompson's Brogan Manufactory. The first floor includes: Charles H. Hersey's Grocery & General Store, which included the Post Office; the Granite State News; and the Lake National Bank. The building on the left was torn down, c. 1871, to create Railroad Ave. The building on the right was torn down before the Glendon House was built in 1872. Main St. in the foreground was built by filling in Wolfeboro Bay.
