On the left is a gunpowder flask. The item in the center is an early 1920's kerosene heater, designed to hang in an automobiles engine compartment in cold weather so the water wouldn't have to be drained after use; antifreeze wasn't invented until 1926. The item on the right is a c. 1900 railroad headlight; kerosene-fueled, with mounts on both sides, it could be attached to either side of a railroad car or engine.
