October 1, 1910 tornado. Rubbernecking after the tornado on North Main St., four buggies coming to view the damage. Looking north west just past Forest Rd., the farmhouse on the left (whose land extended to the lake) was the fifth lot of the original seven farms settled in 1768. The house was likely built c. 1770-1775, and still stands today at 332 North Main St., but the barn unfortunately burned down in 2018. The nearby Lakeview Cemetery suffered extensive damage, with monuments and gravestone toppled and broken.
