This is the Huggins Sanitarium, the first Hospital in Wolfeboro. Later called Huggins Hospital, it was the remodeled former homestead of Rev. Theodore C. Jerome, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, on South Main St., and had 12 beds. The location is where the High School is today. Opened in 1907, the building was used until replaced in 1924. The old building, now vacant, collapsed in 1935.
