The Wolfeboro Post Office was established in 1815, but didn't begin operations until 1820. The first location was on South Main St. in the Goodwin Block. This photo is the second location, c. late 1880's, in the buildings behind the Bank Block, fronting on both Railroad Ave. and Central Ave. This photo is taken from Railroad Ave. Postal workers, L-R, each in a 3-piece suit, are Postmaster Forrest W. Peavey, unknown, Lyle S. Goodwin.
