Yacht Gilnockie. This boat was an elegant steamer, built in Boston, c. 1902, for Mrs. G. W. Armstrong of Center Harbor. Gilnokie was also the name of her 500 acre summer estate. The boat was 67 feet long with an 11.5 foot beam and could make 16 knots. Although the boat was based in Moultonborough, it often visited Wolfeboro and the Goodhue Hawkins Navy Yard. Frequently used for guest excursions, it was sold to John Goodhue in 1916, renamed Lady of the Lake (not to be confused with the original "Lady") and used for private parties. Sold to "Portsmouth parties" in 1920, we have no further information.
