John E. Knox, owner, in his barber shop in the Peavey Block, Oct. 1937. John purchased the shop in 1921 from previous barber Edwin F. Lowe. When John died in 1940, the shop continued under the ownership of the Massey family until 1987. Photo was donated by John Knox's niece, Marklyn Nelson.
